Orders
Principal Travel/Orders.
Travel orders for principals in USMC commands will be “Individual Directed,” created and funded by the individual’s command. The use of government messing is not directed as it would adversely affect the performance of the mission. Attendees are authorized to vary their itinerary as necessary.
SPD will fund travel and M&IE for attendees assigned to non-USMC commands. Please contact Mr. Kowski at randy.kowski@usmc.mil for Line-of-Accounting information and travel/funding inquiries.
Transportation
SPD will provide charter bus transportation from the Pentagon to the hotel in Norfolk, VA.
SPD will provide transportation (bus or passenger van) from the hotel to all official meetings and spouse events, and official social events.
SPD will provide charter bus transportation from the hotel in Norfolk, VA back to the Pentagon after the EOS concludes.
Transportation is not provided to or from airports or train stations.
Parking
If rental cars are used by commands, both hotels being considered have parking garages (with a daily parking fee ranging from $13-$20). Parking is available at each meeting location aboard the two naval bases at no cost.
Lodging
SPD will reserve a room block at the Norfolk hotel (after final selection). Please do not contact the hotel directly. If there are any special requirements for your room please annotate accordingly when registering via email. If any suite upgrades are available they will be assigned by seniority.

Briefing spaces on 29-30 Jan are open classified and no electronics will be allowed inside the Naval Warfare Development Center (NWDC) or the US Fleet Forces Command HQ (USFFC HQ).
-3 NIPR and 3 SIPR computers will be set up in the back of the briefing spaces on 29-30 Jan that can be accessed with DOD CAC card (NIPR) and token (SIPR).
