Frequently Asked Questions

Your registration fee includes all conference sessions. The LANE Preconference is no additional cost, but requires registration in advance.

In January 2022 when the full session list is released, you will be able to log back into registration and select which sessions you want to attend.
Some sessions/breakouts have limited capacity and will be at a first come first serve sign up.
There will be an email blast letting you know when the sessions are ready for registration.

The week of the conference, you will receive an email with a link to the Virtual Event Hub where you can log in using your email and password you created during registration. There will also be a button at the top right of the conference website for you to access the Virtual Event Hub. Please use a computer to access the Virtual Event Hub. Cell phones and tablets may not support the platform. If you have any issues, please email support@federalconference.com

The conference is open to all, and we are excited to welcome almost 400 amazing artists, presenters, and colleagues from around the world!

  • NPN Partners, board members and staff

  • U.S. and international colleagues — arts presenters/producers, curators, cultural organizers, and funders

  • Artists from all over the U.S., many of whom have previously received funding from NPN

Usually about 40% of attendees are new to the conference. While a virtual conference makes it harder to meet new people, we have built community-building into the event and hope you will feel comfortable engaging with other attendees as you wish.

  • Deepen our learning and practice of justice and liberation, individually and collectively

  • Build and strengthen relationships rooted in reciprocity and respect

  • Expand professional development as artists and cultural workers to advance racial and cultural justice in the arts

  • Connect with artists and their work and work together to build artists’ power

Cancellation requests must be received by January 19th, 2022. Should circumstances arise that result in the cancellation or postponement of the conference, NPN will issue a full refund.

For cancellations or questions regarding the cancellation policy, please email support@federalconference.com

Key notes and showcases will be archived and available on the Virtual Event Hub for registered attendees for a period of time after the conference.

Anything provided to us that we are allowed to share from sessions will be in the Conference Resource doc afterwards.
