Casey Frazee Katz
Founder of First Response Action
Casey Frazee Katz is the Director of Butler County and Campus-based Advocacy for Women Helping Women, an advocacy organization in southwest Ohio. She is also a licensed professional counselor in private practice, certified in EMDR therapy. While serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in South Africa, Casey was sexually assaulted. She shared her story with the Peace Corps community in the Winter 2009 edition of WorldView magazine. She also founded First Response Action, an all-volunteer organization advocating for a strong Peace Corps response for Volunteers who are survivors or victims of physical and sexual violence. First Response Action, along with the family of slain Benin Peace Corps Volunteer Kate Puzey, led efforts to introduce and pass the Kate Puzey Peace Corps Volunteer Protection Act in 2011.
