Katrina Mathis
Volunteer Services Director, Food & Friends
Katrina Mathis volunteered as a public health and community development specialist in Guinea 1994-1996 and later worked as Peace Corps staff, overseeing volunteer recruitment programs in the Atlanta Regional Office. She earned the bachelors in political science at University of Georgia and a certificate in leadership development at Johns Hopkins University. For more than a decade she worked with organizations to expand national outreach and service opportunities, particularly to youth and those in disadvantaged situations. She currently directs volunteer services with Food & Friends, a Washington DC non-profit that prepares and delivers medically tailored meals to its clients battling life challenging illnesses in DC, Maryland and Virginia.
