Susan Coultrap-McQuin
RPCV The Philippines 1970–72
Susan Coultrap-McQuin is a poet, retired professor and administrator, frequent traveler, and avid gardener. She was a PC volunteer in the early 1970s in the Philippines and continues to believe that that experience was life-changing. It led to her pursuit of her Ph.D., her long career in higher education and commitment to global education, and her passion for travel to learn more about people and places in the world. As a poet she has written many poems inspired by those travels, some of which appear in her chapbook, What We Bring Home. Other poems have appeared in journals such as The Talking Stick, The Mocassin, and The Dewdrop, and in anthologies such as This was 2020 and Quiet Diamonds.
