Meg Kinghorn joined the Peace Corps to “get the travel bug out of her system”. After serving in Kiribati from 1987-1989, she decided to make a career out of international development. Over 30 years and 75 countries later, she has no regrets. Now working as an independent consultant in civil society strengthening from her farm in West Virginia, Meg travels regularly to work with NGOs in Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe. She holds a master’s degree in Intercultural Management from the School for International Training. She has over 33 years of experience in civil society sector strengthening, organizational capacity building, and network strengthening, including overseas posts with prominent international organizations and extensive short-term assignments in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
